As the excellent Harry Ware has rightly been pointing out in recent months, there’s a lot of inaccurate information put about on the subject of Welsh women’s football and the context of Wrexham’s unbelievable achievements. There’s no need to exaggerate what Wrexham have done, because within the correct context, it’s still remarkable.
I think the misinformation has its origins in a couple of factors. One is a complete failure to publicise the Welsh women’s game by the FAW. The lack of media attention doesn’t help, but they need to be encouraged to be interested, frankly. Some outlets are better than other: I’m liking the Leader’s coverage of Jenny Sugarman’s team, for example.
Anyway, in an attempt to redress the balance, at least a little bit, and help us all to be more informed before Saturday’s match, here’s the full record of Welsh teams in Europe. I’ll be grateful for any corrections or help on omissions I might have made.

I’ve written a #WxmAnorak on the win over Pyunik which will hopefully further flesh out the details.
