Positives:
We now have a right-footed and a left-footed option at free kicks: Dean Keates and Louis Moult.
The terrific work rate when we didn’t have the ball.
The noisy away support, who were amply rewarded not only by the result but also by Lee Hughes!
The more compact look the side had without the ball as a result of the shift to 4-4-2.
A solid performance by Mark Carrington on his return the to the side.
The combination between Moult and Connor Jennings.
Wes York’s energetic work in his own half.
Dan Bachmann’s trio of excellent saves.
Negatives:
After looking disciplined for so long, an element of sloppiness crept into the passing in the closing minutes, surrendering possession too easily and allowing Forest Green to exert late pressure with ten men.
Over on the right and unable to cut inside, Wes York was less threatening going forwards.
