Wrexham’s Top Scorers in the National League

Last season our top scorers managed the lowest total in Wrexham AFC’s history, sharing 6 goals each. Here’s a look at all our top scorers in the National League.

2008-9 Jefferson Louis 18 goals. Only scored 1 goal in his last 13 games, after strike partner Marc WIlliams was injured.
2018-19 Shaun Pearson 6 goals Equal top scorer. The first defender to be Wrexham’s top scorer since Eddie May in 1972-3
2018-19 Akil Wright 6 goals Equal top scorer. 6 is the lowest amount a Wrexham top scorer has managed in a season.
2018-19 Stuart Beavon 6 goals Equal top scorer. Beavon and Rekeil Pyke became the first on-loan players to be top scorers since Robbie Savage in 1982-3.
2018-19 Rekeil Pyke 6 goals Equal top scorer. Pyke was top scorer despite only starting one game after November.
2017-18 Chris Holroyd 13 goals. Holroyd managed to top score despite playing most of the season on the wing.
2016-17 John Rooney 11 goals. Scored 6 goals in his last 7 matches, including 3 off the bench, and was then loaned out in February.
2015-16 Connor Jennings 14 goals. Played much of the season in midfield.
2014-15 Louis Moult. 23 goals. THe highest total by a Wrexham player since Juan Ugarte in 2004-5 despite not starting 15 games which he was available for!
2013-14 Johnny Hunt 12 goals. Converted into a wide striker by Andy Morrell. Scored his goals in 48 games; managed only 4 games in the 89 matches he played for Wrexham outside this season!
2012-13 Danny Wright 18 goals. Also contributed 11 assists.
2011-12 Jake Speight 20 goals. 7 goals came from the penalty spot.
2010-11 Andy Mangan 16 goals. Scored 23 goals in one and a half seasons for Wrexham.
2009-10 Gareth Taylor 10 goals. Was Wrexham’s lowest-scoring top scorer before this season.
