When do the games take place?

The semi-finals are on Wednesday: Glentoran play Riga at 1 p.m., with Wrexham taking on Pyunik at 7p.m.. That’s all UK time, of course!

What is the format?

A group of four, with the winner going through to the next preliminary round. However, it’s a knock-out format, so on Wednesday there will be two semi-finals, and on Saturday a 3rd place match (essentially to give a second game to teams who might have travelled a long way) and then the final

What happens next?

The winners will go into a second preliminary round with exactly the same format, which will be hosted by Køge, a Danish team located around 30 miles south of Copenhagen.

The winners of that will then have one more hurdle, a traditional two-legged play-off, to negotiate. The winners of that will be in the Champions League group stages!

I’m not in Wrexham – can I still watch the game?

Of course! The game will be streamed on the club’s YouTube channel here. If you’re REALLY good, I might even commentate on it for you!

Why should I go?

Wrexham are the most exciting thing to happen to Welsh women’s football, an incredibly ambitious project which won the league last season in just their third season in the top division and has attracted some fine players.

More arrived this Summer and they’ll be representing the third oldest club in the world, whose men’s team has a glorious pedigree in European football but hasn’t been allowed to represent Wales since 1995. Plus, you might bump into Rob or Ryan there!
